Party at the end of the Earth
Two one act plays written by our members Dave Francis and Marylin Apps
Production Dates: 10th & 11th of November 2017
Directors: Dave Francis & Katherine MacLeod
All productions will have both one act plays performed, so if you don't like one, we hope you're like the other.
Synopsis
Dave Francis's play follows George and his slightly dysfunctional 1970's family in a kitchen of a house somewhere in the South of England. A comet is quickly approaching the Earth which may be the end of life as we know it. Or at least we're told it's a comet, but Mavis, the neighbour, just may know different...
Marylin App's production (which we believe is one of the last plays Marylin wrote) takes us to a lounge in Kent where the 'Undistinguished Four' consider their regrets while having a drink or two. Their tag along, Joyce (if that is her name), is trying to create the best image of humanity for the future, she just doesn't know where to put Mount Snowdon.
